Cwmorthin quarry is a disused slate mine in North Wales. Slate was mined from the site from 1810, until it finally closed in 1997. You'll be spoilt for compositions as you make your way past the Cwmorthin Terrace, and the shore of Llyn Cwmorthin. A short but steep climb will reward you with amazing views of Plas Cwmorthin, before reaching the Rhosydd quarry.
