It’s 2022. Happy New Year!

The bonus of not being a party animal on New Years Eve, was that I was able to get out for a New Years Day sunrise shoot.

I wasn’t venturing too far, or expending too much energy as I was just going to photograph the lone tree at Grindon Moor, which is basically a roadside shoot. With an ever expanding waistline thanks to the festive menu I was very much in lazy mode. That said with a waistline challenge I maybe should have gone for more effort!

The drive over was uneventful, and the weather jury was out on whether sunrise would, or wouldn’t be a good one. Unfortunately this time there was no break on the horizon and sunrise as such didn’t happen.

I took a shot. I was here after all, but this was as good as it got.
