Barlaston Downs Banks

A selection of images from Barlaston Downs Banks by Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire based landscape photographer Rob Thorley Photography.

The Barlaston Downs Banks is an area of open countryside, and woodland just north of Stone, in Staffordshire. This is a popular location for dog walkers, and ramblers with easy, but busy car parking access, and amenities close by.

The heathland has been subject to a restoration project, and grazing cattle have been reintroduced to help keep the bracken, and scrubland under control. This location also has a stream that runs through it, and from the high vantage points at the north east end there are far reaching views of the Clee Hills, Long Mynd, Wrekin, and Mow Cop Castle to name but a few.
